For a relatively not so popular Eastern European country, many people would wonder why on earth should they consider going that far for university education.

I bet there are thousands that wouldn't even have Ukraine come up as their 10th or even 20th option.

That's very understandable, because Ukraine stayed under the Soviet orbit for a very long time, which robbed the country of it's identity, something that both the people and the government are taking proactive steps to regain.

That is part of the reasons for this publication, to let the world know that such a country exists with lots of opportunities for the larger world, especially in the education sector.

So, back to the topic about the 5 Main reasons to study in Ukraine, for international students.

Let's begin with a countdown, starting from 5.

# 5: Easy Admission Process

Ukraine makes it very easy for international students to process their university admission.

The requirements hinges primarily on the academic and financial abilities.

Additional obstacles such as TOEFL or IELTS examinations are waved to make minimize the hurdles candidates should have to scale through.

For courses in English language, the student's knowledge of English language is enough, and there is no need to reconfirm that with TOEFL examination procedures.

For students that opt to study in the local Ukrainian or Russian language, they simply undergo a language program, after which they enroll for their main course.

# 4: Exposure & Experience

Cultural diversity, networking, friendships and great life-long bonds can be built during the university days.

This experience and its value is simply priceless, as it is something that can only occur once in a lifetime.

Ukraine is a very hospitable environment for this adventure, and will continue to pay dividends for a lifetime.

# 3: Global Recognition

What's the need to work so hard for a certificate that only has regional recognition? You guessed right - no use.

The good news is that degrees and certificates from accredited Ukraine universities are recognized globally.

Now, pay attention to the use of "accredited universities", as not all the universities are accredited. So, it is very important to first verify that the university of interest is accredited before enrolling and spending years.

# 2: Quality Education

One of the good qualities Ukraine inherited from the Soviet era is quality education.

The Soviets were peculiar for going very deep into subjects of study, an approach that is still sustained in Ukraine's educational system till date.

Students of medicine, engineering and other technical fields have to thoroughly own their field of study, and be able to defend this at any time, with little to no prior notice.

Courses are treated both theoretically and practically, for an all round knowledge.

Of course, people will always have their own divergent opinions, but that’s welcome.

# 1: Affordable Cost

This is the hallmark, once you integrate quality education into the equation.

Many students are parents in the civilized world break their backs on the huge students' loan burden, which need to be repaid many years into the adult life of the individual.

In some instances, parents that have multiple kids of university ages will have to make the difficult sacrifice of not training one of the kids, due to the huge cost of university education.

In Ukraine, however, university education is so affordable that a computer engineering in English language could fall within the tuition range of $2500 - $3500, depending on the university and the city.

Tuition for general medicine and surgery typically costs lower than $5000 for an entire year.

Considering that the cost of living in Ukraine is one of the lowest in Europe, the overall educational cost for university education in Ukraine ends up becoming quite affordable, beyond what could be obtainable elsewhere in Europe or the civilized countries.

In reality, this is one of the primary reasons that attract international students from around the world, to study in Ukraine.

Ukraine's cost advantage in combination with quality education, is difficult to beat, and should be considered international students planning to study abroad, especially when the budget isn't so generous.

MBBS Tuition Range In UKRAINE vs UK, USA, CANADA & AUSTRALIA.

  • UK - $15,000 - $50,000
  • USA - $15,000 - $75,000
  • CANADA - $20,000 - $90,000
  • AUSTRALIA - $25,000 - $75,000
  • UKRAINE - $4,000 - $5,000

As is evident from above, Ukraine has a massive cost advantage over many other countries. Of course, those countries also have their strong sides, but if a combination of cost and quality of education is of higher importance, then Ukraine has an edge.

Watch the video summary below:

We look forward to welcoming you in Ukraine for your undergraduate or postgraduate program in one of the numerous and affordable universities.

Ukraine is a very beautiful country, with lovely people, open heart and unending hospitality.

Below is a sample of Ukraine's student visa for one of our students, from Pakistan.

Notice that there is no identification photograph on the sticker, which is how Ukraine visas were issued, as at the time this student's visa was issued. It may change in the future, but currently, visas are without an identification photograph.

The name of the university is also reflected on the visa, although this is no longer as mandatory as it used to be.

The duration of the visa is reflected at the top right corner, as well as the deadline for the student to arrive Ukraine. The student must use the visa within it's validity period, and once expired, it might be very difficult to extend, if not impossible.

Armed with this, an international student is qualified to arrive Ukraine and enroll into the university that offered him / her admission.
